I can’t decide whether or not this series is going to be amazing or just downright stupid.

So, after watching New Prince of Tennis and getting overly excited about it as well as contemplating WHY they are still in middle school when they should have graduated at the end of the Nationals, I decided to take a look at High School DxD.

One of the better scenes....

A brief summary: Boy joins new Co-Ed school and is on the hunt for a girlfriend. Boy finds “girlfriend”, who subsequently proceeds to stab him to death after their first date. Boy is brought back to life by a devil chick who goes to the same school as him and is now made her slave. Boy gets attacked AGAIN, but this time ends up being saved by his new master and they wake up together in boy’s room.

Now then, the amount of tits that were thrown around in this one episode slighty reminds me of one Queen’s Blade/Sekirei/Maken-ki. And I’m slightly pissed off with it all. There is NO direct correlation with the amount of tits displayed in a series and the likeability of a series! Now, whenever I see excessive skin exposure without good cause, I feel that the studio have just thrown it in to try and cover up what would originally be a rather bland series.

Because Boobies Do Not Make For A Better Series

And that’s how I feel this series will turn out. Just another simple anime with lots of fanservice to keep people wanting to watch it. This episode did have a couple of redeeming factors, however. Two of my favourite things in anime. Battles and Blood. So I think it might actually come down to how much of these two things we see, compared to the level of Boobs we get. (For the sake of calling it the “3B Ratio” – That’s trademarked to me by the way…I will sue your ass if you even think of using it without my permission!)

If I was actually one of those type of anime watchers that dropped anime, this MIGHT be one of the series that got the chop. But I have a higher tolerance level for stupidity than most normal anime watchers, so I’m going to persevere through this and see it through to it.
