Oi! You forgot about me, didn't you!?!

Oh don’t be ridiculous! Of course I didn’t forget about all your readers out there. I was just so into watching anime that I totally forgot that I have a blog to run..

Ok, that’s not entirely true. Let’s just put it this way. Having a job can be a real energy-drainer and can use up a lot of time.

That aside, let’s have a look at some of the anime series starting up in this new season..

Erm….I don’t know anything about the series coming up!!! *panic* *panic*

Seriously, this season came around so fast, I totally didn’t expect it. It kinda just crept up on me while I was happily watching last season’s anime as well as finishing some others. (Bleach and Gintama *sniffles* You will be missed…)

So, today, I am here to ask for advice. What series do you think are worth taking a look at? I’ll be waiting right here for your feedback.

While I wait, I’ll see if I can get a review of last season prepped up. I still have some series that I need to finish.

So….after much deliberating and contemplating, I decided to set up Disqus comments on my blog.

As many of you might know, Disqus is a great platform which you can use for people to comment using a number of different accounts, such as Google, Twitter, Facebook and many more.

I installed it because I saw it on another site and thought it looked quite cool, so I wanted it too. That’s about all.

To be honest, I had it installed ages ago, but never switched it on because I wanted to roll it out with the new layout I was supposed to design, but the designing is taking its sweet time due to real life commitments, so I’ve put it on hold for now and decided to just go with the new comments plugin.

One more thing, I decided to have a blog name change, yet again. This time, I think it will be the last (although knowing my flimsy attitude, I’ll want another change 6 months down the line). I’ll probably reveal it when I finally get to revealing the new layout.

So, stay tuned for that.

We’re a little over half way through the new season of anime and I’m just curious…

What’s YOUR favourite series so far?

I’ve created a poll for you guys to go ahead and vote for which ones you like.

You can pick up to 3 anime series.

If I had to choose, my favourite anime so far would definitely have to be:

• Mirai Nikki – The show just gets better each episode I watch.
• Hunter x Hunter – A bit of an annoyingly slow start in my opinion, but now I’m enjoying the build up.
• C3 or Guilty Crown – It’s a toss up between the two of these. I can’t decide which one I like more. I think C3 might get the nod though.

To be honest, I haven’t even started watching Shakugan no Shana Final yet (yes, I know. I’m sorry) and I’m fairly sure that will be a great series when I do eventually sit down and take the time to watch it.

Hey guys.

For those of you that don’t know (everyone that reads this blog, I would assume), I had a little accident and I broke my jaw recently.

Lately, I’ve just been recovering from it all and not doing much else.

Well, that’s a lie. I’ve been watching my anime as normal and working as normal too, although I did have a week off where I was in hospital drugged up and having surgery, until I was given the all-clear to go home and live a relatively normal life again, minus proper food (living on a soft diet is painful, especially when you are forced to watch everyone else around eat proper food!)

Anyway, apart from all that, i’ve been working on my latest project…a joint collaboration with my partners.

I felt I’d take the time to give you all a sneak preview, so without further ado, check it out:

I’m also working on a new layout for this blog. I’ve recently got the new Artisteer and there are so many new features that I’m still poking around and seeing what cool things I can do!

So I was catching up on the news in anime world and I came across this article which mentioned the death of Tomoko Kawakami. Apparently, she had been ill and hospitalized since 2008.

Roles that I remember her being in were Soi Fon from Bleach and Miu Furinji from Kenichi. She’s been in a few roles as well in series that I have on my “To watch” list as well.

So I just thought I’d drop a post in memory of her and her work.

Man it’s been nearly 2 months since I last posted on here. Where has the time gone?

Anyway, I just wanted to give you guys that still happen to drop by a little update in the happenings of my life and this blog.

First things first, I finally managed to get a job after about 8 or 9 months of looking. I’m working in Tech Support for an Affiliate Marketing company; the largest in the UK as a matter of fact.
To be honest, that’s been taking up a lot of my time so I haven’t even had the chance to watch much anime, let alone talk about it.

I’ve been working now for around 7 weeks. As a matter of fact, I actually started my job the Monday after I posted my last post (14 Feb). And I was offered the job on the day that I made my last post (10 Feb, which also happens to be my birthday). So I get offered a job on my birthday and start it on Valentine’s Day.

Anyway, being that I’m new to the job and whatnot, it’s been pretty hectic and as such I don’t get much time to do a lot else apart from learn stuff and then come home and sleep. So yeah, that’s one.

Number two.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this blog and how I’ve been running it and I personally think that it’s time for me to shut it down….ok that’s a lie…you’re no gonna fall for that trick again are you?

No, seriously…I’ve been doing some thinking and I’ve decided that I want to give the blog a makeover. And I’m talking COMPLETE makeover.

See, I had a thought. And that thought was….this blog isn’t very welcoming. So I thought to combat that, I’ll give it a new look. Perhaps, use a different base colour than black (which is what my blog has been using ALL the time) and brighten things up a bit.

I’m even considering changing the name of the blog to reflect the blog’s new look. It would almost be like starting anew, like I did when I came from The Black Hole to Anime Void. With that in mind, why do all my blog names have some reference to emptiness?

With regards to the Spring anime season, it’s likely that I won’t be able to keep up to date with a week-by-week review. With that being said, I’ll try my best to post as often as I can, provided time lets me.

I’m gonna put a poll up as well because I’m a little curious to know your opinions on what I plan to do with the blog.

How many times will we have to go through this!?

Hopefully this will be the last time. This was something that I probably should have expected though. God, I’m such a failure when it comes to web hosting.

My site (as well as the other 2 in our family) were linked to our old database from the old hosting package and as a result, when the database from the old package was wiped, so was our sites.

Thank goodness for backups. Although, to be brutally honest, if I didnt have a backup, it probably wouldn’t have affected me that badly.

A new season’s coming up so it’s perfect for a new start. But still, I have all my old posts, so it should all be fine.

Anyway, that’s about all I have to say about the issue. With regards to my Fall Season round-up. You can expect it in the next couple of days after I finish watching a couple more episodes. You can also expect my Winter Anime First Impression Posts….when the anime series start up.
